Paragon TEC Nominee for NASA Contractor Quality
Program
Paragon TEC has been nominated by NASA Glenn Research
Center for the prestigious 2008 George M. Low Award Program
which is administered each February by NASA Headquarters
in Washington, D.C. The George M. Low Award is NASA's
premier quality and performance award for NASA's prime
and sub contractors. This award program recognizes large
and small businesses that demonstrate excellence and outstanding
technical and managerial achievements in quality and performance
on NASA-related contracts or subcontracts.
The
award was named after George M. Low, a NASA leader who
was dedicated to quality and excellence. George M. Low's
career and achievements spanned many fields: space science,
aeronautics, technology, and education. In the space program,
he provided management and direction for the Mercury,
Gemini, Apollo, and advanced manned missions programs.

Honored at 25 Powerful Minority Women in Business Awards
The Minority Enterprise Executive Council (MEEC) in cooperation
with RPH Enterprises, Prudence International Magazine,
BMW of Sterling, Omega Technologies, and Alternative Telecommunications
Solutions, will host its 4th Annual Awards Luncheon to
honor 25 Powerful Minority Women In Business, theme: “Applauding
Excellence.” The event is scheduled for Friday, September
12, 2008 and will be held at The Omni Shoreham Hotel located
at 2500 Calvert Street, NW, in Washington, D.C. 20008
from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Gail Dolman-Smith, CEO and President of Paragon TEC, Inc
is one of the 25 honorees for 2008. The award program
recognizes women of color who are top executives, decisionmakers,
presidents and chief executive officers. These women are
major contributors to the business community and creating
opportunities and inspiration for the minority community
and nation's future entrepreneurs.

Aerospace Frontiers - Touting Technology
The NASA Hangar, a familiar site to visitors traveling
by air or on the ground, was the first stop on Glenn's
welcome mat for the Open House held May 17 and 18. The
Hangar housed a variety of demonstrations and displays
that invited visitors to talk with engineers, scientists
and technical personnel about their work in Glenn's facilities,
and the hardware developed for NASA missions

As a member of two space shuttle crews in the
1990s, Bernard Harris played an important role in making
those NASA missions a success. Now, Harris has a mission
of his own, and NASA is helping him make it a success.
